Why this matters postpartum

Breakfast can be surprisingly hard to make when you’re caring for a newborn. These burritos combine eggs, sausage and vegetables for a satisfying mix of protein, fats and carbohydrates, and they can be made well before you need them. Freeze them individually so there’s something substantial ready for early mornings, feeding sessions or the moments when making a full meal simply isn’t happening.

Prep, storage & freezer tips

  • Make ahead: Prepare the full batch at once and individually wrap each burrito or breakfast sandwich for grab-and-go meals.
  • Fridge: Store prepared burritos in the refrigerator for 3–4 days.
  • Freezer: Freeze individually wrapped portions for up to 3 months.
  • Reheating: Reheat in the microwave for speed or warm in the oven. The creator recommends reheating parchment-wrapped burritos at 400°F for about 25 minutes from frozen.
  • Customize before freezing: Swap the sausage, vegetables, cheese or wrap depending on what you have on hand.
